Sheeba and Samuel are both grandchildren of pastors from India—Sheeba’s roots trace back to Hyderabad, and Samuel’s to Kakinada. Though raised in different cities, they shared a common legacy: a deep spiritual heritage rooted in generations of faithful ministry.

God’s plans brought them to the United States—Sheeba to pursue a Ph.D. in Nanoscience at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and Samuel to complete his Master’s degree. While they came for academic advancement, they were both inwardly praying for something far greater: God’s will for their lives and the calling He had placed on their hearts.

Having searched for love and meaning in the world, it was only through personal repentance and spiritual awakening that both Sheeba and Samuel rediscovered the true source of love—Jesus Christ. Their marriage became a sacred covenant, not just between two individuals, but between two callings, two generational mantles, and one divine purpose.

In a miraculous turn of events—during a time when the world was shut down due to the pandemic—God opened doors that no one else could. Just two months after their marriage, they launched Emmanuel Church on Zoom, trusting that God would build something eternal from their obedience. What began as a small online gathering quickly became a growing spiritual family, full of prayer, discipleship, and the power of the Word.

Today, Emmanuel Church is moving toward its next promise: a physical space, a permanent home for the ministry God birthed through their union. Sheeba and Samuel serve side by side as pastors, carrying forward the legacy of their grandparents—leading a new generation in truth, humility, and bold faith.

Their story is a testament to God’s sovereignty, to the power of waiting on His timing, and to the beauty of finding purpose not just in personal success—but in surrendered lives that serve Him first.
