Vaishnavi Kandula

I grew up in a Hindu family in India and found faith in Jesus during high school, though I wasn’t baptized then because I didn’t know much about the Word of God. During the COVID-19 chaos, I felt lost and distanced myself from Jesus, but He never left me. It was during my time in the United States that I found my way back to Him through Emmanuel church. I made a life-changing decision to fully commit to Jesus and got baptized. This story shows how Jesus was always there for me, guiding me to a new life filled with faith and purpose.

Born into a Hindu family, I never resonated with idol worship or rituals. The concept of God eluded me, leading me to explore various beliefs. However, a few years ago, I encountered Jesus Christ, embracing Him as my savior. Since then, my journey with Christ has flourished through prayer and Holy scriptures in Emmanuel church. Despite challenges, His presence fills me with hope and strengthens my faith. In Christ, I witness His transformative power, affirming His uniqueness as the living God.

Jasmine

I was born and raised as a Christian but never understood the true meaning of God’s love and healing power until I became an adult. It has been by His grace and mercy that I have overcome bad decision-making, depression, and health challenges. God has blessed me with a family and a career and I am grateful. I met Samuel and Sheeba in January 2024 and connected with them instantly. Our children attend the same preschool. Our shared values and Biblical worldview give me hope that good Christians will continue leading both believers and non-believers to a better life. It is so refreshing to see the love of Jesus Christ uniting people of all races and backgrounds as we worship together.

Our Purpose

Isaiah 7:14 prophesies the coming of Emmanuel, a name that signifies God’s presence with us. The name “Emmanuel” embodies the divine nature of God’s presence in our life. Our adoption of this name originated from our redemption in Christ symbolizing our testimony, showcasing God’s constant presence from our conception (Jeremiah 1:5) through a journey of disobedience to repentance and restoration. The Emmanuel Church logo symbolizes the heavenly gates, reflecting the church’s purpose to guide and lead people towards Kingdom of Heaven: Colossians 3:1–4: “Set your hearts on things above.”
